Summary
When launching Guitar Pro 7.6 on a Windows system, you may get the following error message regarding a missing "MSVCP120.dll" file:
"The program can't start because MSVCP120.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"
If you already reinstalled Guitar Pro 7.6 and still receive this alert or an other alert mentioning a not designed or missing MSVCP120.dll file please follow these few steps:
Solutions
1/ Make sure to install any available updates for your Operating Systems using Windows Update
2/ If your issue is not fixed. Install the Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 Runtime Libraries.
Download them from: Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013
- If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, please make sure to install both files: "vcredist_x86.exe" and "vcredist_x64.exe".
- If you use a 32-bit version of Windows, only install the "vcredist_x86.exe".
If you need to find out if you use a 32 or 64 bit version of Windows, right-click on the Desktop's Computer icon and select Properties from the context menu. If necessary please consult Windows support
