When launching Guitar Pro 7 on a Windows system, you may get the following error message regarding a missing "MSVCP120.dll" file:
"The program can't start because MSVCP120.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"
If you already reinstalled Guitar Pro 7 and still receive this alert or an other alert mentioning a not designed or missing MSVCP120.dll file please follow these few steps:
1/ Make sure to install any available updates for your Operating Systems using Windows Update
2/ If your issue is not fixed. Install the Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 Runtime Libraries.
Download them from: Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013
- If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, please make sure to install both files: "vcredist_x86.exe" and "vcredist_x64.exe".
- If you use a 32-bit version of Windows, only install the "vcredist_x86.exe".
If you need to find out if you use a 32 or 64 bit version of Windows, right-click on the Desktop's Computer icon and select Properties from the context menu. If necessary please consult Windows support
