When launching Guitar Pro 7.6 on a Windows system, you may get the following error message regarding a missing or not designed "MSVCP140.dll" file:
"The program can't start because MSVCP140.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"
If you already reinstalled Guitar Pro 7.6 and still receive this alert or an other alert mentioning a not designed or missing MSVCP140.dll file please follow these few steps:
1/ Make sure to install any available updates for your Operating Systems using Windows Update
2/ If your issue is not fixed. Install the Microsoft Visual Studio Runtime Libraries.
Download them from: Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio
- If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, please make sure to install both files: "vcredist_x86.exe" and "vcredist_x64.exe".
- If you use a 32-bit version of Windows, only install the "vcredist_x86.exe".
